How We Verify Programs

Our rules

  1. Official sources only. We load the sponsor's own page (a .gov page for federal programs, the organization's own site for private awards). We don't copy listings from scholarship databases.
  2. No page, no listing. If we can't load and read a program's official page, we leave it out. On our last check one well-known nursing foundation's site would not load securely, so it isn't listed until it does.
  3. Dated. Every listing shows the day we checked it (Verified Nov 7, 2026).
  4. Amounts and deadlines only when published. When a sponsor's page shows a figure, we repeat it and say "per the sponsor's site as of Nov 2026." We prefer the deadline month over an exact date, because dates move year to year.
  5. No paid placement. No sponsor pays to be listed or to be described more favorably.
  6. Never a fee to apply. We don't list anything that charges an application fee, following the FTC's advice to never pay to apply for a scholarship.

What we don't do

We don't rate or rank programs with stars, publish testimonials, or claim to have won or tested anything. If we use a statistic, we name its source.

Found an error?

Programs change often. If a listing is out of date, trust the official page over ours. A correction form is coming with the full launch.
